Tyler Herro has often played with supreme confidence throughout his rookie season with the Miami Heat and that trait was on full display on Sunday in Game 4 versus the Milwaukee Bucks.

Herro hit a 3-pointer with less than a minute to go in regulation to put the Heat up by one point. That shot nearly sent the Heat to victory but, instead, the Bucks tied the game up at the free-throw line with 1.9 seconds to send it to overtime, where they eventually won, 118-115.

Herro also hit two big shots in the overtime period to keep the Heat alive until the final buzzer. Despite the losing effort, though, the Heat have continued to ask more of Herro and he has consistently shown up in several clutch situations.

The 20-year-old has not backed down from a challenge on the court and no moment has proven to be too big for him. While his confidence has shown, teammate Duncan Robinson said on Monday that he believes his strong play has also resulted in the game slowing down for him.

His confidence is special, for sure. I think everybody has seen that pretty much right from the start. I think the area where he has really grown a lot is just his feel. He has always had a feel for the game but the game is definitely really starting to slow down for him it seems.

He made a couple of plays yesterday, it wasn’t even necessarily the shots that he made, but a couple of the passes he made, particularly in this series have been really impressive. He has grown so much throughout this year and, obviously, the best is yet to come with him.

Herro has played a key role in the Heat holding a 3-1 series advantage over the Bucks. He is averaging 13 points, five rebounds and three assists in four games against the Bucks while he is shooting 42.3% (11-of-26) from 3-point range.

Robinson and Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra each stressed the importance of playing with urgency in Game 5 to be able to put the Bucks away. The team knew Game 4 wasn’t their finest performance and will need to be better on Tuesday.
