Duke tight end Jeremiah Hasley carted off the field during Northwestern game

Duke tight end Jeremiah Hasley left Friday’s game against Northwestern on a cart after he fell to the turf during punt protection.

Duke football might be without tight end Jeremiah Hasley for the foreseeable future.

The junior left Friday’s game against Northwestern on a cart after he fell to the turf during punt protection in the second quarter.

The replay showed him tumble backward after he collided with a Wildcats rusher. He remained on the ground after the contact, but it was not immediately clear what happened to cause the injury. He seemed to be grabbing near his right knee.

Hasley was helped to his feet by two members of the Duke training staff, who helped him walk a few feet to the cart. All of his Blue Devils teammates came out to speak to him before he left the field.

We will continue to update as we know more about Hasley’s injury.
