The Duke men’s basketball team lost two of its first six contests this season, but with the Blue Devils riding an eight-game win streak after Saturday’s victory over SMU, [autotag]Cooper Flagg[/autotag] and his teammates now sit third in the men’s basketball NET rankings.

The Blue Devils have won all four of their road games in 2024-25, including this weekend’s visit to the Mustangs without head coach Jon Scheyer, and the NET rankings credit Duke as one of five teams with four Quad 1 victories.

Last month’s home win over the Auburn Tigers, currently the top team on the board, assuredly boosted the Blue Devils, and the Arizona Wildcats slot in at No. 16 to give them another quality victory.

The Tennessee Volunteers have only won three Quad 1 games this season, but their undefeated record is enough to keep them above Duke for the No. 2 spot. The Houston Cougars and Illinois Fighting Illini round out the top five.

Duke remains the class of the ACC in the rankings, but Pittsburgh moved its way up to No. 14 with a 12-2 start to the season. The Panthers visit Cameron Indoor Stadium on Tuesday, giving the Blue Devils another chance at a Quad 1 win.
