The Duke Blue Devils remain on the outside looking in with the US LBM Coaches Poll, but head coach [autotag]Manny Diaz[/autotag] and his team are knocking on the door of the top 25 in the USA TODAY Sports re-rank.
Paul Myerberg released his updated ranking of all 134 FBS teams on Monday, and he shifted the Blue Devils up 10 spots to 28th after their comeback victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels.
The Blue Devils are one of 19 remaining FBS teams without a loss in 2024, and Duke only finished higher than Navy, Liberty, and Army among those schools. However, 5-0 is 5-0, and Myerberg ranked the Blue Devils as the fifth-best team in the ACC behind the Miami Hurricanes, Clemson Tigers, Louisville Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Panthers.
The Tar Heels, after giving up 70 points to James Madison and coughing up a 20-point lead in Durham over the last two weeks, dropped eight spots to 58th.
