Duke football shares inside look at new locker room

After some extensive renovations to the locker room, Duke football shared an inside look at its new and improved facilities.

With year one of the [autotag]Manny Diaz[/autotag] era five weeks away, Blue Devils fans got their first look at the new and improved Duke football locker room on Monday.

With renovations now complete in the Yoh Football Center, the team’s social media account shared a short video of the new facilities.

The individual lockers showed each Blue Devil’s face at the top with a cushioned blue chair built into all of them. Star defensive back Chandler Rivers showed off all of the storage compartments in his locker in a separate video from the team, and the amount of space built into each one is astounding. The helmet and shoulder pad storage even comes with vents to cool their equipment down.

“The student-athlete experience here at Duke is one of the best nationally and these renovations only emphasize that,” Diaz said in a release from the team. “The upgrades will give our current and future Blue Devils a player-friendly experience, while adding to their overall development while here at Duke.”

The team will use the new locker room for the first time against Elon on August 30, the 2024 season opener.
