Duke football set to play night game against Georgia Tech in Week 6

The ACC announced its starting times for the Week 6 football slate on Monday, including Duke’s road trip to Georgia Tech.

All of the attention in Durham this week will be focused on the North Carolina Tar Heels, who come to town for a Week 5 rivalry game on Saturday, but the ACC announced its football schedule for Week 6 on Monday.

The Duke Blue Devils will travel to Georgia Tech for their third road game of the season next week in an 8:00 p.m. Eastern time kickoff. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network.

The Yellow Jackets looked like one of the more fearsome teams in the conference through two games, upsetting the Florida State Seminoles in Ireland before bludgeoning Georgia State for a 35-12 win. However, road losses to Syracuse and Louisville over the last two weeks make head coach Brent Key’s team look more vulnerable.

The Blue Devils didn’t play Georgia Tech in 2023, the first time since 1933 that the Yellow Jackets weren’t on the Duke schedule. Duke lost each of its previous three matchups against the conference foe, most recently a 23-20 loss in overtime two seasons ago, but the Blue Devils picked up three in a row over Georgia Tech before that losing streak began.
