USA TODAY Sports’s Paul Myerberg released an updated college football re-rank on Tuesday, organizing every FBS program from first to 134th after one week of games.
The Duke Blue Devils, after a 26-3 victory over Elon last Friday, moved up six spots to 50th.
The slight rise makes Duke the eighth-highest ACC team on Myerberg’s rankings. Miami rose 12 spots to 14th after a blowout win over Florida, becoming the top team from the conference with NC State (17th) and Louisville (18th) also within the top 20.
Virginia Tech tumbled 33 spots down to 53rd after a road loss to Vanderbilt in overtime, and the Hokies were the only double-digit favorite to lose on Saturday. That drop still looks respectable compared to Florida State‘s freefall. The Seminoles slipped from 10th to 59th after consecutive losses against Georgia Tech and Boston College.
Georgia, who won the 2021 and 2022 national championships, remained in the top spot. Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, and Notre Dame made up the rest of Myerberg’s top five.
