Duke football 2025 recruiting target set to choose between top four schools this weekend

Bryce Davis, a four-star defensive lineman and a top-100 Class of 2025 prospect, will pick between Duke and three other schools on Saturday.

Duke football coach Manny Diaz and his staff’s recruiting hot streak could gain some major momentum on Saturday.

Bryce Davis, a four-star defensive lineman in the Class of 2025, will reveal his commitment decision this weekend. The Grimsley High School product revealed that the Blue Devils will be one of the four programs under consideration alongside Georgia, Clemson, and South Carolina.

The Greensboro native recorded 85 solo tackles, 24 of which went for a loss, as a sophomore in 2022. According to MaxPreps, he only played two games as a junior this past season. 247Sports ranks him as the 64th overall prospect in his class and a top-10 defensive lineman.

Four different 247Sports insiders recorded Crystal Ball predictions for Davis to end up at Clemson, so Duke fans might need cautious optimism at best. However, if there’s been a summer for the Blue Devils to surpass expectations, it’s been this one. Duke sits within the top 30 in 247Sports’ class rankings with 24 commitments already, and more than a dozen of those committed since the beginning of June.

Davis will announce his decision at noon Eastern time on Saturday.
