Duke men’s basketball coach [autotag]Jon Scheyer[/autotag] appears to have recovered from his weekend illness.
The third-year Blue Devils coach did not travel with the team to SMU for Saturday’s game, but the squad posted a photo of him running Monday practice on social media.
During the team’s initial Saturday announcement, Duke said it expected Scheyer back for Tuesday’s home game against the Pittsburgh Panthers. The practice photos make the recovery look as-scheduled.
Associate head coach Chris Carrawell, who first joined the Duke staff under the legendary Mike Krzyzewski back in 2018, led the Blue Devils against the Mustangs. Despite SMU entering the weekend on a seven-game win streak with the ACC’s top-ranked scoring offense, [autotag]Cooper Flagg[/autotag] and the Blue Devils left town with an 89-62 victory.
Scheyer, now in his third season with the program, sports a 66-20 record with the Blue Devils. He won the conference tournament in 2023 and advanced to the Elite Eight last April.
