Following Oregon’s 38-7 loss at Utah, the Ducks fell six spots to No. 11 in the USA TODAY/AFCA Coaches poll.
While the loss was devastating for the Ducks, it was just as exciting for Utah, who managed to make a major leap to No. 19. The Utes clinched the Pac-12 South and will await the winner of the North in the Pac-12 Championship Game in Las Vegas.
Oregon had been slowly creeping up the coaches poll and got up as high as No. 5 last week. Despite the setback, the Ducks can still win the North with a victory over the Beavers. Should they manage to dispose of their rivals, Oregon will get another crack at Utah and show everyone that one loss in Salt Lake City was a fluke.
