Drew Little named to Patrick Mannelly Watch List

UNC football long snapper Drew Little was named to the Mannelly Award Watch List.

As we continue to count down the days until the 2023 college football season, it’s officially award watch list time.

Earlier on Monday, it was North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye that was named to the Maxwell Award watch list for the most outstanding player in college football. But he wasn’t the only one earning recognition.

Long snapper Drew Little was one of 25 players named to the 2023 Patrick Mannelly Award preseason watch list on Monday. The list was revealed by the Mannelly Award and is given to the top FBS long snapper each season.

This is the second-straight year that Little has been on the watch list.

The award was created in 2019 by former Duke and Chicago Bears long-snapper Patrick Mannelly. It benefits Bernie’s Book Bank, a non-profit organization located in Lake Bluff, Illinois.

In November, the list will be trimmed to 10 semifinalists and then three finalists later in that month. The winner will be announced at a live ceremony in Lake Bluff on December 9.
