Drew Brees had his kids announce his retirement from NFL in really sweet video

Drew Brees’ kids are very happy about this news.

Drew Brees, one of the best quarterbacks to play the game, has officially retired from the NFL as he and his kids found a pretty sweet way to make the announcement Sunday on Instagram.

Brees, whose family shared a special moment with Tom Brady after their playoff game last January, is officially done after 20 years in the NFL, including the last 15 with the New Orleans Saints.

The QB became a legend in New Orleans after he lead the Saints to a Super Bowl title with a win over Peyton Manning and the Colts in the 2009 season.

Here’s the great retirement video he shared on Sunday afternoon:

He said in the caption:

After 20 years as a player in the NFL and 15 years as a Saint, it is time I retire from the game of football. Each day, I poured my heart & soul into being your Quarterback. Til the very end, I exhausted myself to give everything I had to the Saints organization, my team, and the great city of New Orleans. We shared some amazing moments together, many of which are emblazoned in our hearts and minds and will forever be a part of us. You have molded me, strengthened me, inspired me, and given me a lifetime of memories. My goal for the last 15 years was striving to give to you everything you had given to me and more.
I am only retiring from playing football, I am not retiring from New Orleans. This is not goodbye, rather a new beginning. Now my real life‘s work begins!

Brees finishes his career as the current all-time leader in passing yards with 80,358 and is second to Brady in passing TDs with 581.
