Typically for a kid’s 5th birthday, they’ll want to have some sort of party.
Maybe there’s Batman or Mickey Mouse included in some way, shape or form. There’s definitely cake popping off. Maybe some pizza, too! But that wasn’t the type of party Draymond Green’s son, DJ, just had.
For his 5th birthday, he just got a story he’ll be able to tell for the rest of his life.
He got to join the Warriors’ team staff for the night and help out the players. He delivered them towels, masks, shirts and whatever else they may have needed on the bench. He was super quick with it, too. It was so adorable.
Draymond said DJ did a fantastic job on the sideline.
THIS IS GREAT ❤️
While Draymond Green was getting his first triple-double of the season, DJ was celebrating his 5th birthday early by being part of the Warriors staff. Here's @Money23Green breaking down his son's performance pic.twitter.com/WUwLs6qK55

“I thought he was great. He was Johnny-on-the-spot with the towels. Running to the table, picking up shirts, bringign guys their stuff.”
Of course, he’s a rookie at this. So the night didn’t go without a slight hitch. He hilariously handed Klay Thompson a shirt instead of Chris Chiozza, who just checked out of the game. Draymond had a laugh about it, but overall, he really appreciated the moment.
“You miss so much doing this job. Those are the moments where it’s all worth it. For him to have that experience is special. I don’t take that for granted.”
It was the absolute best. Fans loved it.
