Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is good for approximately a thousand interesting quotes per season — and several each time he speaks.
The 32-year-old is a three-time NBA champion and someone who constantly displays his passion for the game of basketball. Of course, anyone who appreciates the game when it is played at the highest level is going to have an admiration for someone as accomplished as LeBron James.
James recently became the No. 2 overall scoring leader in league history. He could become the NBA’s all-time scoring champion as soon as next season. As such, during the latest episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green had a lot to say about James.
Around the 15-minute mark, Green shared some noteworthy comments:
“Congrats to LeBron, second all-time. Probably in fifty more games or so, fifty to seventy games or so, he’ll be first all-time. And I can’t wait to see that and I hope, Steve Kerr, I’m throwing this out there right now. If LeBron is passing the all-time scoring record and we have a game, I’m going to LeBron’s game and witness history. So that’s what we doing, coach Kerr.”
You can watch the clip for yourself to hear the words directly from him:

Maybe he is just joking to make a point, especially considering that it is unlikely Kerr would love it if one of his best players was missing an NBA game to watch another one.
But it is easy to see where Green is coming from with this comment. At least in Green’s lifetime, it is doubtful we ever see another player break the scoring record that LeBron will potentially soon set.
It makes sense that Green, who recently said it was “pathetic” for Lakers fans to boo LeBron, would want to witness greatness. If the scoring record is ever broken, the atmosphere in that room will feel electric.
The four-time All-Star and one-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year shares an agent with James as they are both represented by Klutch Sports.
