Draymond Green seems likely to make season debut vs. Bulls on Sunday

The Warriors haven’t quite looked like themselves without Draymond Green. Fortunately, he might be back soon.

After dropping each of their first two games of the 2020-21 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors sure look like a team that could use a player like Draymond Green.

Fortunately for the club, the All-NBA big man may be making his long-awaited season debut on Sunday when his team travels to Chicago to do battle with the Bulls.

Historically, the Warriors organization has been somewhat conservative with its players and bringing them back from injury. Green last played in an NBA game on Feb. 27 of this year, logging just under 10 minutes of action. Especially with what happened to Klay Thompson, it makes sense for the club to ease him back into action, but after three consecutive practices, it may seem a safe bet for Green to make his 2020-21 season debut against the Bulls.

Green has been missing in action since suffering a foot injury in a practice scrimmage prior to the team’s season-opening defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets, and he was missed on Christmas Day when the Warriors were defeated by Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, as well.

Previously, head coach Steve Kerr said that he hopes to have Green in the lineup against either the Bulls or the Detroit Pistons, who the Warriors will play on Dec. 29.

The good news is that — one way or another — it appears that Green is going to be making his long-awaited season debut in the next few days.

Fortunately for the Warriors, it seems reasonable to believe that the big man could be returning sooner rather than later.
