Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green made a very costly guest appearance on TNT’s Inside The NBA on Friday, as the controversial comments Green made about Suns guard Devin Booker have resulted in a $50,000 fine for tampering.
During the broadcast, Green urged Booker to get out of Phoenix for the good of his career. Booker has been stellar inside the bubble and has led Phoenix to a 4-0 record as the Suns try to make an improbable playoff push. According to Green, though, Booker needs to go to an organization where he can “play great basketball all the time and win.”
“Are you tampering?” Draymond: “Maybe.”
D-Book would look good in a Warriors jersey. 👀🤣pic.twitter.com/rGecZnYzeJ

“It’s great to see Book playing well and Phoenix playing well, but get my man out of Phoenix. It’s not good for him, it’s not good for his career. Sorry Chuck, but they got to get Book out of Phoenix. I need my man to go somewhere where he can play great basketball all the time and win, because he’s that type of player.”
On Sunday, the NBA announced that Green has been fined $50,000 for his comments. The NBA introduced stricter tampering rules before the start of the 2019-20 season, and commissioner Adam Silver clearly doesn’t want high-profile players urging other stars to leave their organization on national television.
Green didn’t seem too worried about the fine on Twitter after the news broke.
