For the second-straight week, UNC football players Drake Maye and DeAndre Boykins are being honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference for their play.
After beating Duke in the final seconds to improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in ACC play, Maye and Boykins were named players of the week.
Maye was named the ACC quarterback and rookie of the week for his performance against Duke. The quarterback threw for a career-high 380 passing yards and three touchdowns, completing 28 of his 38 attempts. This is the third time Maye has been named the quarterback of the week and the fifth time he was named the rookie of the week.
Boykins has now earned the defensive back of the week award for two-straight weeks. He finished the game with 7 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and a sack in the game.
