Drake London tops 1K receiving yards on ‘Sunday Night Football’

Falcons wide receiver Drake London surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London topped 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career during Sunday night’s game against the Washington Commanders.

London entered the game with 978 yards and needed less than a half to get the yards he needed. He has three catches for 44 receiving yards at halftime, putting him at 1,022 yards for the season.

After being selected with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, the former USC standout finished his rookie season with 72 receptions for 866 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

London saw a slight uptick in yardage during his sophomore campaign, recording 69 catches for 905 receiving yards and two touchdowns. However, the Falcons passing game took a step back last season as the team played musical chairs with Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke.

The third-year receiver has benefitted from playing with Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr. this season.

The Falcons hold a 17-7 lead over the Commanders at halftime.
