Draft Wire ranks Titans WR A.J. Brown as 3rd-best rookie of 2019

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown‘s rookie campaign was far from quiet.

In seemingly no time at all, Brown had established himself as the team’s top wideout, coming into his own more and more with each passing contest.

So it came as no surprise when he found his name near the top of the list when Draft Wire ranked its top 50 rookies of the 2019 season.

Only San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa and Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs ranked higher — in that order.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was listed directly behind Brown at No. 4.

Brown surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in receiving with a total of 1,051 yards last season, placing him at 24th in the NFL in receiving yards and atop the rookie class.

With 20.2 yards per reception, Brown stood at second in the league in that category, also racking up eight touchdown catches.

Brown is expected to only continue to level up as the Titans make preparations for the upcoming 2020 NFL season.

While the Titans made heavy use of the run game last season with a ground attack based around standout rusher Derrick Henry, Arthur Smith’s offensive scheme gives Brown a chance for extended growth.
