The Detroit Lions are receiving high marks for their performance in the 2022 NFL draft. While the individual accolades vary a little across different evaluations, when thrown all together, the Lions come out with a top-5 class amongst the NFL’s 32 teams.
Rene Bugner, a die-hard German football fan, compiles the composite of a bunch of prominent NFL draft grades following each year’s selection process. He figured out the aggregate GPA by combining the individual grades from 18 different post-draft evaluations. The Lions came in fifth with a 3.55 grade.
That impressive GPA trails only the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs in the total score.
The list of grades Bugner used to compile the composite scores includes many big and familiar names, including Doug Farrar and Mark Schofield from Touchdown Wire and Nate Davis from USA TODAY.
