The 2024 college football season is almost here, which means it is time to get ready to root for your Oregon Ducks as they embark on a new era of Big Ten football leaving the Pac-12 in the rearview mirror. Dan Lanning had one of the best offseasons adding quarterback Dillon Gabriel and wide receiver Evan Stewart. Lanning also found his quarterback of the future with Dante Moore transferring in from the UCLA Bruins.
The season opens up with a pair of home games against teams who hail from the “Potato State” with the Idaho Vandals and Boise State Broncos set to come to Autzen Stadium. Oregon then heads to Corvallis for its in-state showdown with the Oregon State Beavers. This matchup was set to be against the Texas Tech Red Raiders but they swapped this game to allow the Oregon-Oregon State matchup to remain on the schedule.
The one game everyone has circled is the Oct. 12 matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes. We could see this matchup twice if both teams make it to the Big Ten championship game. The final game of the year will feature the Washington Huskies coming to Eugene.
