The 2024 college football season is almost here, which means it is time to get ready to root for your Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they look to return to the College Football Playoffs for the first time since 2021.
The Irish will kick off the season in the Lone Star State at Kyle Field to take on the Texas A&M Aggies. Former Notre Dame defensive coordinator Mike Elko takes over the program after the university parted way with Jimbo Fisher after the 2023 season. It will be the only game outside the state of Indiana until Oct. 19.
Notre Dame will look for retribution to close out September when the Louisville Cardinals come to Notre Dame Stadium ahead of the Irish’s open week. The lone October matchup at home features the Stanford Cardinal, who join the ACC this season. It will be the 37th meeting between these two historic universities.
Notre Dame has two massive matchups that could determine their postseason plans with a home game against the Florida State Seminoles and a trip to LA Memorial Coliseum to face the USC Trojans to close out the regular season.
