The Eagles and Cowboys are just days away from a Week 16 matchup that will decide the NFC East and springboard one of the two teams into a playoff run.
On Wednesday a day after giving his team a much needed day off, Doug Pederson addressed the media and provided updates on the status of several injured Eagles. Pederson said efensive end Derek Barnett (ankle) is “getting close,” while right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle) is “getting better” and is now “day-to-day”.
Derek Barnett is "close." Lane Johnson is improving. No changes with the status of Nelson Agholor and Jordan Howard.

Johnson suffered the high ankle sprain in the Week 14 win over the Giants, and after initially being diagnosed as was “week-to-week,” Johnson has been upgraded to day-to-day.
Pederson said running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) and wide receiver Nelson Agholor (knee) are “status quo” and with both players missing multiple games, we can expect them to be absent on Sunday as well.
Howard hasn’t played since he suffered a stinger in Week 9 against the Bears. He has been a limited participant in practice but has yet to be cleared for contact yet.
