Carson Wentz had a career-defining 2019 NFL season but if you ask Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, his signal-caller is just scratching the surface.
While making the rounds at the NFL Scouting Combine, Pederson sat down with SiriusXM NFL Radio, where he discussed the state of the Eagles and Carson Wentz.
Pederson heaped praise on Wentz, telling the guys that Carson took a big leap as a player in 2019, pointing out his huge gains as a passer and as a leader.

The Eagles have taken steps with Press Taylor’s promotion and Rich Scangarello’s addition, to ensure that Wentz continues to grow as a passer and a leader. Coming off the first 4,000 yard passing season in Eagles team history, the Birds are now set on getting Wentz some elite weapons.
The Eagles are one of only four teams in the league who have been to the playoffs each of the last three years and the retool should ensure another three or four-year run.
