The Eagles fell to 3-6-1 on the season after an ugly 22 -17 loss to the Cleveland Browns on the road. After the ballgame, head coach Doug Pederson was immediately asked about quarterback Carson Wentz‘s job status.

Doug Pederson confirmed that his $128 million quarterback would remain the starter for next week’s Monday night matchup at home against Seattle.

Wentz was 21 of 35 for 235 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Wentz was also on the receiving end of an NFL leading 36th sack on the season and the Eagles star was knocked on multiple occasions that he was able to get rid of the ball.

Part of Wentz’s struggles stemmed from the Eagles again refusing to stick to the running game after a first half that saw Philadelphia rush 19 times for 96-yards.

The Eagles rushed the ball 6 times in the second half for 10 total yards.
