Alshon Jeffery watch continues and on Wednesday, Doug Pederson confirmed that the Eagles star wide receiver will miss his seventh straight game of the 2020 season with a foot injury.
“Well, obviously, you know Alshon and DeSean have been practicing with us — and DeSean last week — and so, obviously [we’r] optimistic. But it’s a short week, so you don’t know how guys are going to respond physically. We’ll see where they’re at because with short weeks we don’t get actual live reps in practice, so we keep everything at more of the traditional walk-through. And so, that’s kind of where we’re at. Lane Johnson is in that same boat with those two guys.”
Jeffery, working back from a Lisfranc injury, practiced in a limited capacity for a third straight week but was not deemed ready to return, causing some confusion and questioning of the Eagles in regards to why the receiver wasn’t placed on the PUP list prior to the start of the season, freeing up a roster spot.
