One of the most anticipated NFL regular season games in recent history will take place in Gillette Stadium during Week 4.
Tom Brady and the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face Bill Belichick and the revamped New England Patriots. The Buccaneers returned a majority of their team and the Patriots brought in a ton of new faces, but also have some familiar faces coming back after opting out for the 2020 season.
Dont’a Hightower, who spent eight seasons with the team, is returning and he’s looking forward to seeing his old quarterback. While speaking with Stan Grossfeld of the Boston Globe, Hightower discussed the game.
“It’s going to be good to see 12 again,” Hightower said. “I’ve been going against him in practice for so long, I’m looking forward to playing against him.”
When asked if Hightower would take it easy on Brady, he had the right answer.
“Oh, you mean, like, ‘soft sacking’ him?” he said. “Nah, you can’t do none of that stuff with him, man. He’s trying to throw touchdowns.
“No, in between the lines, it’s football. I’m sure he wouldn’t expect anything different.”
Week 4 should be one for the ages.
