The NFL Scouting Combine was going to be Donovan Peoples-Jones’ event, no matter what. And in his first activity, he’s already proven his ability.
Drills start for quarterbacks, tight ends and wide receivers on Thursday night, and Peoples-Jones was the first former Wolverine to partake. As he got up for the vertical jump, he managed to already climb into the top ten all-time in the NFL Scouting Combine, coming in tied at No. 7 ever, reaching a staggering 44.5-inches.
The record was set by North Carolina safety Gerald Sensabaugh in 2005, as he reached for 46.5-inches.
At this point, Peoples-Jones has out-leaped everyone else who has thus far participated by a full 7.5-inches, with Notre Dame tight end Cole Kmet reaching 37-inches.
