Donovan Mitchell is among the growing number of fans of Ja Morant.
The Utah Jazz third-year guard told reporters following Friday night’s 103-94 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies that he is a fan of Morant and respects his game. Mitchell also commended Morant for his ability to take over games late and take those important shots for his team.
Morant recorded 11 points and four assists in the matchup as Mitchell had 20 points. Morant also had a nice sequence against Mitchell after putting a dribble move on him before driving and dishing it to Jonas Valanciunas for the And-1 attempt.

The two teams each wore throwback jerseys in the contest as the Grizzlies paid homage to the Vancouver Grizzlies and their iconic teal uniforms while the Jazz wore their classic jerseys made famous by John Stockton, Karl Malone and others.

Given his electric playing style, Morant has been among the most exciting first-year players to watch this season. He has carried the Grizzlies at times and has taken over for them in several close matchups.
