Donald Trump deletes tweet congratulating ‘Great State of Kansas’ for Super Bowl

The Kansas City Chiefs play in Missouri, not Kansas. Trump quickly deleted the tweet.

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl on Sunday, thanks to a great fourth quarter comeback from MVP Patrick Mahomes.

After the game, President Donald Trump tweeted out a congratulations to the team, and also said the side represented the “Great State of Kansas” with the win.

The Kansas City Chiefs play in Kansas City, Missouri. While there is a Kansas City, Kansas which lies just across the border and neighbors the Missouri city, that … is not where the Chiefs play.

Trump (or his team) deleted the tweet shortly after it went up, but plenty of people caught screenshots. Here it is:
