Dominick Kelly decommits from USC, goes to Georgia

Georgia flips another USC commit.

Stop if you’ve heard this one before: A USC football commit has flipped to the Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart. Dominick Kelly, a 2026 cornerback, has switched his commitment to Georgia.

UGA Wire has more on this story:

After flipping five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson a month ago and being projected to flip five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry, the Georgia Bulldogs have yet again pried away a top recruit from Southern California. Dominick Kelly, a four-star cornerback in the class of 2026, committed to Georgia on Monday, giving the Dawgs their second defensive commitment in the past three days for that cycle and adding to Kirby Smart’s list of recruiting victories over Lincoln Riley.

The fact that Kirby Smart is stacking up wins in recruiting is not surprising or remarkable to any degree. The fact that Georgia is winning recruitments against USC is not surprising either. The twist of the knife is that USC is gaining commitments and then losing them to Georgia, one after another. If USC had never gotten the initial commitment and Georgia ended up with these prospects, it wouldn’t merit a second thought from any USC fan … but that’s not reality.
