Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans continues to garner respect from his elite peers in the NFL.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill was asked on former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III’s podcast “RG3 and the Ones” who the five best wideouts in the NFL were. Hill didn’t mention himself, but in no particular order, gave his five picks — and Mike Evans was the first name he mentioned.
Here is who Hill said his top five wideouts in the league were:
- Bucs WR Mike Evans
- Chargers WR Keenan Allen
- Bills WR Stefan Diggs
- Eagles WR A.J. Brown
- Raiders WR Davante Adams
In addition, RG3 talked a bit about Evans after Hill brought up his name, calling him underrated.
“A lot of them you just mentioned I feel like are underappreciated, like Mike Evans,” RG3 said. “What’s Mike got, is it eight or nine straight thousand-yard seasons? He’s been killing it for a long time.”
It’s nine, for whoever is counting, and Evans is well on pace to get his 10th at the end of 2023. Hill also isn’t the first wideout to give Evans props, as Davante Adams, another WR on this list, also ranked Evans as one of the league’s best receivers during the offseason.
