Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill named Offensive Player of the Month

Miami has two Offensive Players of the Month so far this year.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been the league’s top player at the position so far this year, and on Thursday, he received an honor to show just how impressive he’s been, as he was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for October.

In Miami’s five games in the month, Hill recorded 36 receptions for 602 yards and four touchdowns, helping the team move to a 6-2 record on the season.

Hill is the second Dolphin to receive this specific honor in the last two months, as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was named the Offensive Player of the Month for September.

Surprisingly, this is just the second time in Hill’s career that he has been named Player of the Month, as he earned Special Teams Player of the Month in December 2016.

If the 29-year-old keeps up his current pace, he’ll break the NFL’s record for receiving yards and eclipse 2,000 yards, a mark that’s never been accomplished in league history. With that, he’ll certainly be among the top candidates for MVP, an award that no wideout has ever received.
