Dolphins vs. Jets 2021: Updated odds before Week 15

The line has moved, but maybe not the way you’d expect.

With Sunday drawing closer, the Miami Dolphins Week 15 battle with the New York Jets is just a couple of days away, and despite the Dolphins having six players on the reserve/COVID list, the line hasn’t moved toward the Jets.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, the line has actually moved from Brian Flores’ team as 8.5-point favorites earlier in the week, to now 9.5-point favorites, as of Friday morning. The moneyline has moved from a Dolphins’ victory being -450 to now -500, and the over/under has dropped two points from 42.5 to 40.5.

Without key players like Mekhi Becton, Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Marcus Maye, the Jets have struggled a lot this season, leading to a 3-10 record through the first 14 weeks of their 2021 campaign. Zach Wilson’s athleticism seems promising, but his decision-making definitely needs some work before teams consider him a real threat.

The Dolphins had won five straight before their bye week, so they’re looking to come out strong and continue their recent run of success. If Jaylen Waddle and Jevon Holland, two rookies who are currently on the reserve/COVID list, can’t go, the task becomes a lot tougher, but they should still be able to pull out a victory.
