Dolphins trade up, draft OG Solomon Kindley in 4th round

The Miami Dolphins waited through the end of Day 2 to reset the deck and get themselves aligned and ready for a long Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft. Many Dolphins fans hoped to see Miami leap up into the late portions of the 3rd round for another top-100 pick. That didn’t happen, but Miami did get aggressive in the early portions of Day 3.

Miami traded picks No. 136 & 141 for the 111th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft and promptly selected Georgia offensive guard Solomon Kindley.

The Dolphins’ string of investments into the trenches continues — it has been a prevalent theme for Miami all throughout the course of the draft this year. That should be a breath of fresh air for Dolphins fans everywhere, as Miami’s trench play has been sorely lacking in the last several seasons. Chris Grier, Brian Flores and company hope to ensure that’s no longer the case and are bringing in heavy hitters in hoards to ensure new franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is able to stay upright once he sees the field.
