Dolphins rule out WR Jaylen Waddle for battle vs. Ravens

Miami has ruled one of their top players for Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins are preparing for their Week 17 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon, but before their practice on Friday, they’ve already ruled out one of their key players.

Mike McDaniel told the media on Friday that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle will not be playing on Sunday, as he suffered a high-ankle injury during last week’s battle with the Dallas Cowboys.

Without Waddle, the Dolphins will have Tyreek Hill, Cedrick Wilson, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Chase Claypool. They could have Robbie Chosen as well, who McDaniel said is in the final stages of concussion protocol.

Miami also has three wide receivers (Braylon Sanders, Anthony Schwartz and Freddie Swain) on the practice squad that they could call up, if necessary.
