After missing Week 1 and totaling just nine yards in Week 2, Miami Dolphins rookie running back De’Von Achane introduced himself to the NFL world in a big way against the Denver Broncos in Week 3.
The former Texas A&M Aggie recorded 233 total yards and four touchdowns in Miami’s 70-20 rout of Sean Payton’s team, helping his group improve to 3-0 on the season.
Achane’s performance was strong enough to earn him Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his young career. He’s the second Dolphin to earn those honors this season, as Tua Tagovailoa was the AFC’s recipient in Week 1.
If this game was any indication, Achane is off to a strong start to his career, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him earn these honors more in the future.
