Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson Jr. suffers knee injury in pregame warmup

The Dolphins may be down to two running backs Monday night.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. suffered a knee injury in his pregame warmup and is now questionable to play against the Tennessee Titans, the team announced Monday night about 15 minutes before kickoff.

Wilson, 28, has 10 touches through three games so far this season with eight carries for 40 yards and two receptions for 12 yards.

With Raheem Mostert still out due to a chest injury suffered in Week 1, Wilson is one of three running backs active for the Dolphins on Monday night along with De’Von Achane and rookie Jaylen Wright. if Wilson is unable to spell Achane, it would presumably mean more snaps for Wright, who has seven carries for 21 yards so far this season.

Wilson was acquired by the Dolphins in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2022 season. In 21 career games with Miami, he has 620 rushing yards, 191 receiving yards, and four total touchdowns.

The Dolphins also have running back Deneric Prince on their practice squad.
