No one really knows what direction we’re going to see the Miami Dolphins take this April. With so much ammunition at their disposal, there really is no shortage of option for the Dolphins — except we know this team could use a healthy boost of talent.
That will almost assuredly materialize for Miami. It would be impossible not to after the roster that the team played the 2019 season with. But if the Dolphins’ draft played out how Pro Football Focus has it below, how would you feel as a Miami Dolphins fan?

For those keeping track, the 7-round mock draft gave the Dolphins:
5. QB Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama
18. OT Josh Jones, Houston
26. S Grant Delpit, LSU
39. CB Trevon Diggs, Alabama
56. DE Julian Okwara, Notre Dame
70. CB Cameron Dantzler, Mississippi State
135. WR Michael Pittman, USC
144. WR Tyler Johnson, Minnesota
147. S Terrell Burgess, Utah
165. DE Trevis Gipson, Tulsa
177. WR Jauan Jennings, Tennessee
223. LB Willie Gay Jr, Mississippi State
Lots of defensive backs, which given Brian Flores’ defensive tendencies shouldn’t be too big of a surprise. But the wide receiver splurge was surprising to see, given how many players Miami presumably sees being a part of the picture here in South Florida. Between DeVante Parker, Allen Hurns, Jakeem Grant and Preston Williams, Miami has given out three extensions and has a promising young rookie at the WR spot.
Also surprising? Only one offensive lineman to the Dolphins in this mock — if this draft were to come to life, the Dolphins would have presumably tacked on quite a few interior offensive linemen in the free agency window, which opens during the third week of March this year.
In all, the effort from Pro Football Focus netted the Dolphins an infusion of talent. But there’d need to be some notable signings elsewhere for this path to be justified by Miami come April.
