Dolphins LB Jerome Baker leaves with injury vs. Commanders

Miami loses their top linebacker.

On the Miami Dolphins first defensive possession of the second quarter against the Washington Commanders, linebacker Jerome Baker was tasked to cover wide receiver Curtis Samuel one-on-one.

Quarterback Sam Howell found Samuel for a big catch-and-run before safety Brandon Jones came over to hit the wideout out of bounds.

Unfortunately, Jones also hit Baker, who needed to be helped off of the field. He appeared to be unable to put any pressure on his left leg.

In his play, the Dolphins put Duke Riley in at inside linebacker.

UPDATE: Baker has been ruled out by the team with a knee injury.
