Dolphins drop massive injury bombshell on the eve of game vs Browns

The Dolphins will be without their starting quarterback against the Browns.

As the Cleveland Browns get set to host the Miami Dolphins at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is now doubtful to play.

On the eve of their Week 17 matchup, the Dolphins dropped the bombshell that Tagovailoa would be downgraded from questionable to doubtful. The Dolphins have subsequently elevated Skylar Thompson from the practice squad for this game.

This means that the Browns will likely face their former fourth-string quarterback, Tyler Huntley. Serving as the fourth-string throughout training camp, the Browns tried to trade him to no avail. He was then released before signing to the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad.

The Dolphins then signed him to their active roster off of the Ravens’ practice squad. He has started three games for the Dolphins this year, going 1-2 on the year with just one touchdown pass and one interception. He broke 100 yards passing in just one of those three starts.

So it looks like it will be Dorian Thompson-Robinson vs. Tyler Huntley tomorrow afternoon.
