Dolphins continue their climb in Touchdown Wire’s power rankings

Miami is finally inside the top 20.

After the Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Giants 20-9 in their Week 13 matchup at Hard Rock Stadium, Brian Flores’ team has officially won five straight contests.

Their winning streak has completely changed the way a lot of teams feel about the team now. They’ve gone from a lost season to potential postseason participants.

Five weeks ago, they were the 29th ranked team in Touchdown Wire’s weekly power rankings. Since then, they’ve climbed all the way to 19th in the most recent edition just ahead of the 6-6 Washington Football Team.

Here’s what Touchdown Wire’s Nick Wojton had to say about the Dolphins:

“Against an already poor Giants roster that was beat up in Week 13, the Dolphins should have won and did. But Miami has little room for error and now they’re back in the playoff hunt. The Dolphins were once a 1-7 team and now are rolling with QB Tua Tagovailoa… getting the job done.”

Miami’s defense has significantly improved from the beginning of the year, and with DeVante Parker back and healthy, the offense may be able to hit their stride in the last few weeks of the season to propel them into the playoffs.
