Following yet another disappointing loss, their seventh in a row, the Miami Dolphins will host the Houston Texans at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, Brian Flores’ team has opened as 6.5-point favorites for the Week 9 matchup. Tipico also has the Dolphins as favorites on the moneyline, as their victory is currently set at -320. The over/under for the contest is set at 45.5 points.
Miami lost their Week 8 matchup to Buffalo despite being in the game for a majority of it. However, their offense was never able to get going, as they only scored 11 points on one of the best defenses in the league.
If they get Jerome Baker back and play the way they did last week, this defense can slow down any offense.
Houston is probably the only team that can relate to the Dolphins’ struggles. They won their season opener against Jacksonville and have lost every game since. The Texans have also been without their starter, Tyrod Taylor, for weeks, as the Dolphins had been with Tua Tagovailoa.
Rookie quarterback Davis Mills has played like the third-round, first-year signal-caller that he is. Taylor is expected to try and return this week, and, if that’s the case, the line may shift more towards Houston.
