Does USC need to change its NIL strategy?

NIL is where USC keeps losing to Ohio State and other schools.

Trojan Conquest Live is our Monday show on the USC YouTube channel at The Voice of College Football. Trojans Wire and The Voice of College Football team up to bring you two different USC shows each week. Trojan Conquest Live is our Monday show with host Mark Rogers at 8 p.m. Pacific time, 11 in the East. We also have our Conquest Call-In Show on Fridays at 6 p.m. Pacific, 9 p.m. Eastern time. Trojans Wire editor Matt Zemek joins me to bring you weekly discussions of USC football and the stories of the moment.

This week’s edition of Trojan Conquest Live, which lasted over an hour, covered various subjects of interest, but the main story — which is on the mind of every USC football fan these days — is the Trojans’ insufficient NIL operation. USC is getting blown out of the water by Ohio State in the NIL space. The Buckeyes, to their credit, are making strong investments, spurred on by the reality that they have fallen short against Michigan the past three seasons. USC obviously needs to find the urgency, and the dollars, to be more competitive in big battles for elite prospects.
