PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers will finish up the preseason schedule on Wednesday when they play host to the Charlotte Hornets at home and they will have their full roster ready to go in this one.
After missing Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Joel Embiid will return in this one and coach Doc Rivers wants him to play into the third quarter in the final exhibition game.
“We may play them a little bit in the second half depending on how the game’s going,” said Rivers pregame. “Sometimes you get in these games and the other team doesn’t cooperate and they take all their guys off the floor so you take yours off the floor, but we’ll see. I’d like to play him a good first half and maybe a little bit into the third quarter as well.”
Embiid has only played one preseason game thus far and as he gets set to prepare for the Hornets on Wednesday, he will look to rev it up before the regular season begins.
