The Philadelphia 76ers will be on the road on Thursday as they look to bounce back against the Milwaukee Bucks, and they are looking to get healthier.
Ben Simmons has missed two straight games with a non-COVID illness. Tobias Harris has missed three straight with right knee soreness, and Seth Curry missed Wednesday’s game due to a left hip flexor. When it comes to Thursday’s matchup, all three are questionable.
“I have no idea,” said coach Doc Rivers. “I’m hoping a few are back. I don’t know if all of them will be back, honestly. It is what it is. You go through this. Unfortunately, we’re going through it at a key point, but it’s nothing you can control. If guys are not ready, they’re not ready. It’s nothing I can do about it.”
When it comes to Simmons, he is still dealing with an illness. As mentioned, it is not COVID-related, and Rivers believes that he will make the trip, but is not certain.
“I think so, but I don’t know. If he’s not feeling great with flu and all that, I don’t know if I want to want him on the plane. You want to sit next to him?” Rivers laughed. “You know what I mean? So we’ll wait and see.”
Tipoff from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee is set for 7 p.m. EDT.
