Do NBA fans see any point to the in-season tournament?

Players seem to, but what about the people watching the games?

Apart from the safety concerns raised by Jaylen Brown and Precious Achiuwa after the recent game between the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors on the NBA’s new in-season tournament courts, the players and their fans seem to be starting to embrace the in-season tournament.

But some analysts are holding out on such a point of view with questions about the ultimate place for the winner in the wider league calendar. Such was the case on a recent episode of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay” podcast as the trio weighed in on whether the tournament adds value to the regular season and if fans and players truly embrace the concept.

The three share varying opinions on the tournament’s significance and place in the overall NBA experience.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts on it.
