D’Mitrik Trice finishes strong but Ohio State controls the first half in Madison

The Buckeyes lead the Badgers at half

A slow start for the Badgers ended up being the difference throughout the first 20 minutes. Ohio State leads Wisconsin at the half 32-25 in Madison.

Early foul trouble for Tyler Wahl put the Wisconsin sophomore on the bench quickly. Ohio State big man EJ Liddell got off to a solid offensive start, and finished with 7 points in the half.

The Buckeyes also got a needed lift from Harvard transfer Seth Towns. After working his way back from a horrific knee injury, he has steadily worked his way into the Ohio State rotation and is looking like his old self. He led the Buckeyes with 8 first half points in just 9 minutes.

D’Mitrik Trice turned it on late for Wisconsin, and the Badgers will need his scoring to overcome the deficit. Wisconsin finished ice cold from three at 3-15 on the half (20%).
