It does not take a football expert to realize the Seattle Seahawks have one of the best wide receiver duos in the National Football League. With DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett as primary weapons, Seattle has had little issue moving the football these past few years – regardless of who is at quarterback.

The Seahawks have a pair of stars at an increasingly valuable position given how offensively friendly the league keeps shifting towards. But it’s always nice for fans to see their favorite players getting recognized.

Recently, PFF ranked their top wide receivers for the 2023 season. Naturally, Metcalf and Lockett made their list. Although, perhaps not as high as some might think.

Metcalf came in at No. 14 on their list.

“One of the most physically imposing receivers in the game, Metcalf brings size and athleticism that most cornerbacks can’t hope to match. He is an elite deep threat who has added multiple strings to his bow while in the NFL. Passes thrown his way over his professional career have generated a 105.7 passer rating.”

As for Lockett, he was at the No. 23 spot.

“Lockett’s peak may be behind him now that he will be 31 during the 2023 season, but he remains an extremely effective receiver who has thrived as an undersized player throughout his career. Lockett has some of the best hands in the game, having dropped three passes over the past two years and only 3.8% of catchable targets over his entire time in the NFL.”

Ahead of both Lockett and Metcalf were the likes of Los Angeles’ Cooper Kupp and San Francisco’s Deebo Samuel. Additionally, DeAndre Hopkins was listed two spots ahead of Metcalf as well, but he has since been released by the Arizona Cardinals.
