DK Metcalf has dominated a loaded 2019 WR draft class

The 2019 class wasn’t exactly full of slouches, either

In what is hardly the most shocking statement of the weekend, the Seattle Seahawks have a star in wide receiver DK Metcalf. Yes, yes, not exactly a hot take, but sometimes we can be a bit complacent in a sense when thinking about Metcalf.

Stats are one thing, but when you stop and take a moment to look at how he stacks up against other receivers, it can be quite jaw dropping. Consider how Metcalf holds his own against other receivers from his 2019 NFL draft class:

Keep in mind this draft class included A.J. Brown, Deeboo Samuel, Terry McLaurin, Marquise Brown and Hunter Renfrow… and Metcalf ranks no lower than 2nd in any of these categories.

Additionally, Seattle’s offense is not known for its high-octane air-raid style. This is a conservative, run-first system. Yet Metcalf stands out among his peers in a big way – both statistically, and literally…. just look at him!

With Metcalf headlining the Seahawks receiving corps with Tyler Lockett, and now Jaxon Smith-Njigba as a legit No. 3 receiver, expect Seattle to score some points in 2023.
